Position Summary: We are seeking dedicated and professional B Grade Security Officers to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment, demonstrating excellent vigilance, and responding effectively to security incidents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patrol Duties: Conduct regular patrols of premises to detect signs of intrusion, ensure the security of doors, windows, and gates, and monitor overall safety conditions.
- Access Control: Control entry and exit points, check credentials, and authorize entry for employees, visitors, and contractors.
- Surveillance: Operate and monitor security systems, including CCTV cameras, alarms, and other surveillance equipment, to identify and respond to suspicious activities.
- Incident Management: Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances. Provide assistance in emergency situations and follow proper protocols to manage incidents effectively.
- Customer Service: Interact courteously and professionally with clients, employees, and visitors, providing assistance and information as needed.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and legal regulations concerning security operations.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- PSIRA Registration: Must be registered with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) and hold a valid B Grade certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a security officer role.
- Education: Matric (Grade 12) certificate or equivalent.
- Skills: Strong communication and observation skills, basic proficiency in using security technology and equipment.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physical tasks such as patrolling, standing for extended periods, and responding swiftly to emergencies.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and have a clean criminal record.
